wage slavery

well it’s finally over, i’m officially a college graduate, yeah beans.

the big question now is how in the hell i’m going to pay off my student loans, doing freelance websites was good enough to keep me afloat when i was in school and just treading water, but now the student loans are going to come due and i’ve got to figure out how to get the money to pay them off asap – fuck doing the minimum payments and dragging it out over 10 years and paying twice as much back as i borrowed! debt is such an evil trap…. too bad the christians are too busy harassing gay people to use their political clout to stop the sin of usury. grrr.

the job hunt is going slow, craigslist isn’t turning much of anything up. The only callbacks I’ve gotten are for canvassing jobs and i’m just not down to knock on doors anymore. been there, done that, got the t-shirt in my dirty laundry basket. there’s gotta be something out there though that doesn’t involve fucking people over or begging for scraps and pays enough to make a living. i suppose worst-case scenario i could wait tables or something, but i’d like to at least pretend that i have the capacity to do something a bit more important with my life. no disrespect to people who work in the food-service industry, of course… it’s just i can hardly think of a less productive occupation then carrying peoples food from the kitchen to their tables for them.

the hardest part is trying to figure out what to put on applications. “state-smashing anarchist rapper seeks day job” just doesn’t seem to be getting me callbacks. heh. who knows though, there’s got to be something i can do. just gotta find it.

wish me luck, i’m gonna need it.
