police brutality & “my enemy’s enemy”

ran across this video today, it was taken inside a police station and leaked somehow. it show greek cops beating up 2 albanian immigrants and also forcing the immigrants to slap and punch each other while the cops watch and laugh. and people wonder why i hate cops…

in other news, jon stewert’s commentary on the latest developments in iraq is (as usual) much better then the “real” news.

This weeks headline is on the new military slogan: “My Enemy’s Enemy is My Friend”, that they’re using to justify arming the exact same sunni jihadists they’ve been fighting for years now in the hopes that these nutcases will turn their wrath on al queda instead! ya know, it could just be me, but i seem to remember that being the exact fucking same logic that led the US to arm and train Mujadeen fighters in afghanistan to oppose the Soviet Union, including a guy you all may have heard of once or twice by the name of Osama Bin Fucking Ladin.

Dear gods, are we living in a time warp here?

As for me, ya’ll already know how i feel about this bullshit:

Empire’s Fall (lyrics)
Support Our Troops (lyrics)

also – I’ve just finished recording a new song on the iraq war called “Desert Sunrise” with my man Brokenface for a compilation that’s being put out to benefit Iraq Veterans Against the War. Not sure what the release date on the comp is going to be or if my song will make it in, but ya’ll should check out IVAW anyway cuz they’re doing some seriously important work.
