So i’ve been thinking about religion, gods, spirituality a lot lately, as readers of this blog can probably tell. I’ve arrived at a few basic conclusions about what i believe, and while i don’t expect to make any converts i figured laying it out on the record so to speak might be useful for folks trying to figure out what the hell i’m on about when i rant about how stupid i think christianity, islam, judaism, and other revealed religions are.

first off, check this interview with boots from The Coup. it’s good shit, especially the part where the interviewer tries to divide hip hop fans up by race and boots is like like yo – my music is about working class revolution and in the working class there are people of all shades. well said. police brutality & “my enemy’s enemy”

Posted on June 16, 2007

ran across this video today, it was taken inside a police station and leaked somehow. it show greek cops beating up 2 albanian immigrants and also forcing the immigrants to slap and punch each other while the cops watch and laugh. and people wonder why i hate cops…

in other news, jon stewert’s commentary on the latest developments in iraq is (as usual) much better then the “real” news.

This weeks headline is on the new military slogan: “My Enemy’s Enemy is My Friend”, that they’re using to justify arming the exact same sunni jihadists they’ve been fighting for years now in the hopes that these nutcases will turn their wrath on al queda instead! ya know, it could just be me, but i seem to remember that being the exact fucking same logic that led the US to arm and train Mujadeen fighters in afghanistan to oppose the Soviet Union, including a guy you all may have heard of once or twice by the name of Osama Bin Fucking Ladin.

Dear gods, are we living in a time warp here?

Celtic Anarchy

Posted on June 16, 2007

So I’ve got a new website, except unlike circlealpha.com it’s not a personal website.

It’s called Celticanarchy.org and the concept is basically a an online magazine or e-journal with the twist that all the content for the journal will be actually created on the site by the community there. It’s got a series of discussion forums on all kinds of topics and I’m looking for other bloggers who regularly write on issues relevant to celtic culture, language, history, politics, sports, spirituality, etc. and/or who approach issues of culture and identity from an anarchist perspective to take up residence on the forums and apply for a blog. We’ve got a user ranking system all set up so the community will be able to decide what the best posts are and the journal will be compiled out of those.

Anyway, I’ll keep writing here as well since a lot of what I write about here isn’t particularly “celtic”, it’s just me ranting and raving; but I’ll also be writing there. Come on over and check it out.
